Tale of a Concert

Yes!  Here are pictures at last.  September seems so far behind us now, though it is only just November. And, since photos speak for themselves...

We shall let them.

Welcome, one and all, to Crossroads Coffeehouse and Music Company

And introducing, for the second time on the Crossroads stage,The Great Interference.

It was amazing being all together, all seven of us. Even Matthew joined in.

Guitar, Piano, Cello, Drums, Bass, Violin, and voices.

So Many Things

Our concert of the 19th went very well.  Crossroads is fast becoming our favorite place.  We had a good turnout and very little mistakes.  

It's funny how you can see all your own mistakes so clearly up on stage, and yet afterwards, no one even noticed, or would have known.  It makes your own worry about it rather insignificant, doesn't it?  We, all of us, feel so blessed to be able to share our music and share our hearts, and... in the process, learn more about ourselves and about God.

New songs are brewing gently.  They have not yet reached a full boil, but the leaves are there, and the water is growing hotter and hotter.  Soon the water will flow into the leaves, and the fragrance of the song will spread all through the room.

Isn't God amazing?

Thank you Lynn and Lindy and Kate.  You are an absolute, indescribable blessing.  May God richly bless you.

A Cancellation

And a new scheduled date....

Due to possibility of our area being affected by Hurricane Ike, our concert, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, the 13th, has been cancelled.

The concert has been rescheduled for Friday, the 19th.  We are extremely sorry for any problems this may cause any of you.  We hope you can still come to the new date!

Statement of Belief

We believe:

The most important four words in the universe are... Jesus Christ is Lord.

The most important seven words in the universe are... I acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Lord.

These statements are derived from the following facts:

Our sovereign God is Creator of the universe and all things therein.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Who became a man, lived among us, died to offer forgiveness of sin, was buried, and rose from the dead to guarantee eternal life to all those who believe.

The Holy Spirit is present and operative in the world today. He offers comfort and guidance through all the realities of life on earth.

The Holy Bible is God's word, which in following, we find abundant life on the earth and eternal life in heaven.

We subscribe to the Apostle's Creed as a basic summary of essential elements of belief for followers of Jesus Christ.

Purpose and Goal

The goal of The Great Interference is to be a channel through which can flow "the river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High" (Ps. 46:4) and to encourage the saints to enthrone Jesus Christ in their hearts and lives as Lord of lords and King of kings (Rev. 17:14).
